Efficacy of Porcilis PRRS - Protection versus reproductive signs

A trial to show how vaccination can reduce transplacental virus transmission and increase the numbers of pigs born alive per litter.

Trial

Two groups of PRRS-naïve gilts were used in this trial:

  • Group 1: Vaccinated with Porcilis PRRS 2 weeks before mating
  • Group 2: Unvaccinated controls

Both groups were challenged with a field PRRSV at 88 days of gestation.
